Three Things You Need To Know Before Building Your Own Website – Kimberly Gosney
Here’s my short and sweet list of the three things you need to know before building your own website.
Are you ready?
- Know why you need a website. Are you building up your subscriber army, sharing your vision with the world, trying to generate a six or seven figure income. Why do you need a website?
- Know what you want people to feel like when they visit you. Everything on your website is about how you want your guests to feel. Do you want them to feel happy, inspired, giggly, motivated, or ready to take action? Is your site a teaching, learning or community environment? Your website exists to create a feeling for everyone that visits you. What feeling are you trying to evoke?
- Know how you’re going to bring in the money. Your primary focus for your website needs to be to keep your eyes on the prize! When you walk into a real live store in a mall you expect to spend money. While it’s fun to hang out and have friends – the primary goal of your website needs to be about making you money. Your landing page or website home needs to be able to make you money. If you also want to have a blog built in with your website. Have a tab at the top that says BLOG. If your visitors want to see your blog, they’ll click your blog tab.
These three things are all really important to you as you’re starting to build your website. And, just know that you don’t have to go it alone in building your site. You don’t even have to spend hours googling and watching YouTube videos. You can get help! I’d love to help you build your website. Click here to find out how I can help you.
