5 Things You Need To Give Yourself Big Squeezes For – Kimberly Gosney

We have so much to be thankful for.

But, at this time of the year it’s easy to slip into regret or to start wondering why things didn’t go as planned.

Especially when you’re going to start looking back at 2015 and reflecting on your highs and lows and when you’re super excited about 2016 and starting over fresh and new.

With 2016 right around the corner, I think it’s time to celebrate everything that went well in 2015 and give yourself a few big old virtual hugs because let’s face it …

Being an entrepreneur is really hard and it’s not like when you’re working for someone else that give you high fives when you’re doing a great job.

You’ve got to give yourself your own big squeezes every now and then!

This fun exercise will only take about 10 minutes and it’s going to leave you feeling super happy and grateful for all that went really well for you in 2015. It’s important to acknowledge yourself and all you’ve done to move forward in your business and life. One step at a time.

Step 1: Grab yourself a blank white sheet of paper and for the next five minutes write down everything you LOVED about 2015. Get it all out. Scribble and have some fun with it. Keep it to 5 minutes and just put anything and everything down.

Step 2: Go through your list and pick your top 5 favorites.

Step 3: Grab another sheet of bright white and put your top 5 on there.

Step 4: Draw squiggly lines or hearts and a fun border around your top 5. Pull out your markers or colored pencils or your kiddo’s crayons. Go all out and make it bright and colorful.

Step 5: Put this sheet somewhere you’ll see it everyday to remind you of what you loved most about 2015 and give yourself big squeezes every time you see it.

Step 6: Take your big squeeze virtual. Email them to everyone on your list OR email them to me. Share your big squeezes with someone you know and let them squeeze you right back!

Hugs and I can’t wait to hear from you!

P.S. If you ever have a hard time staying focused and being productive during your work week (I know I sure do from time to time!) here’s an article from Kathryn Brown that you’ll find super helpful as you start planning for 2016! It’s on Creating A More Purposeful And Productive Week. This will help you get more wins in your 2016 planning!

Great post. It’s a great idea to look at what you are thankful for. Do you post it for the whole 2016?
